Two young filmmakers capture an intimate and tender portrait of a loving couple at the end of their life together. Husband and wife Marc and Louise embark on their final experience together when Louise is diagnosed with a brain tumour. Farewell Dear Lou is a window into their delicate and fragile journey, with all its ups and downs, moments of hope, and deep soul-searching. Despite their differing spiritual beliefs, Louise and Marc cling to the here and now, thanks to their shared memories and enduring love. A naturalistic and endearing film, Farewell Dear Lou raises questions about our own inevitable passing and that of those we love. What choices can one make when waiting for death? And how do we say goodbye to the person who has shaped our very existence?
